Synopsis: Love Is (Working Title)
"I'll come back, when you call me. No need to say goodbye" - Regina Spektor "The Call"
My dearest Judy,
I told you i would tell you the moment that I have arrived in America and I just stepped foot on land after a long journey on a ship captained by one of the greatest water spirits ever. I know what you're thinking, I could just transport to your doorstep and be done with it but there is so much to see in the world, so much to experience, at times I am overwhelmed. Bur it won't be long now. Soon, I will be at your feet and we can reunite again.
Three years. It's been three years since we said goodbye in your room. I can't imagine you changing much. You would still have your hair, spun like golden silk but perhaps longer since I've seen you. Your same blue eyes as still as a lake untouched by humans. I've seen the rarest and cleanest lakes and ponds all around the world and none of them compare to your eyes. I bet now there's even more wisdom behind them after years of higher learning. It's called a university, right? I feel I will have no trouble finding you though.
I know I have said this before but banishment has been the best thing for me. I have seen the world with unbiased eyes. Looking back on my years as a Wishgiver, it seems laughable. I was such a ignorant child. But I have grown since then. Speaking of which, perhaps you could give my hair a trim. It is getting ridiculously long. It sits at my shoulders now.
I can't stop thinking about you. I wonder how you have changed, how have you stayed the same. Whether I have changed too much or not enough or whether you would be happy with those changes. I know a lot more magic. I know you don't care for it but if you are willing, I am here to help.
I must depart at the moment. Sunlight is fading and I am still in need of some shelter for the night. I will be stopping at a few stops. I am curious about the Native American magic of the animals and this whole idea of voodoo. As soon as I explore these areas, I will be returning to your sweet arms and once again, we can be together.
With all my love and wishes
Ashley
