Everything happens in the mind. Reality isn't so important. Life is fine. She can handle the isolation, her dark twin in the mirror, the super intelligent rats and their secret labs in the basement, even the things which ooze out of her and take up residence in the house. She can hide, breathe, dream, adapt.
