Synopsis: Zed.0
Zombies, destruction, and the omnipresent unrequited love story.
We've known it was coming for years. Video games, books, movies-the population has been mentally preparing for zed-day since the sixties. At least, the younger generation has. That's why we survived, you see. We've been planning our survival since we were children, disguising it as games and hobbies. We've been able to continue our lives after they took over, still partying into the early hours of the morning. Until they got a little smarter.
See, we've been watching them, studying them, pretending to be them, and we've always operated under the assumption that they lacked the capacity for learning. Apparently, we were wrong. These adapted creatures, these "zed-point-oh"-they've wised up to our games, and our carefree lives are no longer safe. Now we have to leave everything we know, with the hope that somewhere out there there's another pocket of survivors.
My name is Charlie, and I'm your last hope.

As it's not quite November yet, I'm just going to take advantage of this space to say 'hello!" to any NaNo folk who may be browsing through here to find prospects for the 30 Days, 30 Covers project that's going on. I would REALLY love to have a cover made for my novel; I can't even draw stick figures properly, so that'd be really cool. Besides, I'd dig seeing how other folk interpreted the ridiculousness more commonly known as my writing.
