Synopsis: Goodbye to Yesterday
After a summer away at camp, Zach Turner is returning home...
But it wasn't a typical sleepover camp and Zach isn't coming home to the same place he remembers. After the death of Zach's older brother Nick, Zach's life spiraled downhill into depression and drug addiction. Nick's family and friends have tried to move on but how will the return of his younger brother affect their "recovery"?
Excerpt: Goodbye to Yesterday
The small town that passed by looked the same way it had as far back as Zach could remember. He was born here and had always found some comfort in its stability. Now the unchanging seemed like a cruel joke. It should change. Everything else had changed so why should it still look the same. It would never feel the same; never even really smell the same. Its magic was gone, now it felt more like a prison to which he was returning.
