The World In Pink Gradiants
an excerpt

The next morning I woke up in the big white bed, with about twenty down comforters piled one on top of the other in a lime green room with green curtains, and Gitte, red curls framing her pale face sleeping next to me, I dragged myself out of bed, through the creaky bedroom door, out into a hall, down the hall, through the living room, and into the kitchen. Keifer was already in there drinking something from a huge red mug and looked up when I patted in. I was surprised to see him there and reeled back into the door, which made him smile.
I will never understand what guys find endearing about girls tripping, or falling or bumping into things, it hurts and leaves bruises.
I blushed, and pattered over to the table, which was rickety and surrounded by an assortment of mismatched chairs, and folded into one. I was tired. Keifer got up, went over to the counter and poured me a coffee. Then he came back to the table and handed me the steaming mug, before sitting back down. He hadn’t changed since last night. Just taken off his shirt. I tried not to stare. Its not like that’s so dirty or anything but I hadn’t been in the presence of many shirtless guys, (By that I mean I had never in my life been in the presence of a shirtless guy that wasn’t blood related) and I had never been very good at playing it cool.
