A Time of Healing
an excerpt

Now, over a year since she escaped she was left in this ruined world. Originally she-along with all of the other people-had expected for the plague to be nothing but a short hindrance in their everyday lives, doing no more than hurting a couple of their people. But it had been so much.
It was devastating, and the small sickness which they believed to have passed attacked at an even stronger force. It tore apart family and friends, destroyed towns, businesses, and oh so may lives. And when they ran for help, there was none to be found. For even the healers of great were unable to heal or even escape from the harsh grasp of this deadly disease. And now it was gone…. But things like this don’t just blow away as smoke does on a fiery night. No. It was far from gone. Terror ruled the nation now, terror and pain. A fear so great of loss that people betrayed their own thining that they would betray them. Memories that plagued them so terribly that they were screaming in their beds every night saying, “Why? Why did you leave me? A needed you, I loved, but now you can never know. I’m sorry, I’m sorry I never told you the truth.”
