The life of a girl as she goes through college, falls for a boy, learns something about the boy, and tries to get over the boy.

Excerpt: Blah Life (Working Title)

At 18, Jessica had seen very little in life. She was from a very small town where anyone who was openly gay was pretty much ostracized. So why she had decided to be come a theatre major where both of her professors were openly gay and several of her colleagues were the same way, was beyond her. She just felt she needed to be here.
“Are you sure about this?” her mother asked.
“I am, Mom.”
They had dropped her off at the college that first weekend. Her mother was definitely not ready to let her baby go. After the weekend festivities, she hugged her mother as she balled in the lobby. She kept a straight face and only one tear slipped from her eye as her family walked out the door.
Jessica went to her room and cried for an hour. It was the longest she had cried in a while. Her heart was breaking. She wanted to be with her family for as much as she wanted, but she tried.
