Brief Author Bio: This is my fourth year NanoNoveling and after winning in 2006 and 2007, I slumped and finished out of the money last year. I'm determined to start a new winning streak in 2009 and wish all the participants crazy enough to try this madness the best of luck! I have had some success with short fiction, twice being named a finalist for the Derringer Award, given annually by the Short Mystery Fiction Society for excellence in short mystery fiction, but am still searching for an agent and/or publisher for my novel-length work...maybe this is the year! |

Synopsis: The Lonely Mile
Bill Ferguson is a regular guy. He lives in western New England and owns two hardware stores. But when he breaks up the attempted kidnapping of a teenage girl by the infamous I-95 Killer, his regular life is over. Because the killer is angry and humiliated and bent on revenge. And he knows where Bill Ferguson lives.
