Excerpt: One Night, One Moment
I strolled into class, early as ever, and settled my bag next to my desk before sitting down. Adjusting the short skirt I decided on today, I looked around to see the class slowly filling. Settling back, I pulled out a novel from my bag, pushed my glasses up on top of my head, and opened to my page.
I was engrossed in the pages of the book, in the author’s world, when someone slammed a textbook on top of my desk. Looking up over the tops of the pages, I saw my friend, Victoria.
Victoria Adams was a pretty girl, with a generous amount of curves that I sometimes envied. Her white button-up shirt was stretched across her bosom, just as her short skirt was across her ass. She kept her red jacket unbuttoned and the tie on her shirt loose. She sat on the edge of my desk, and crossed her legs at her knees, revealing her knee-high white boots. Flinging her long, red, curly hair over her shoulder, she looked me in the eyes.
“Have you seen the new transfer student?” Her lipstick was a deep red that matched her hair, and her amber eyes flickered between me and the other students in the class.
“William Blake, I assume?”
He eyes lit up and her lips curved, “Oh, so you have seen him. Maybe more than saw?”
Ignoring her prodding, I settled back into my book. Victoria huffed in annoyance and with a smooth motion, stole my book and sliding a finger to keep my place. “Well?”
Sighing, I leaned back in my chair, flicking my hair over my shoulders, “Well what?”
“Well, have you talked to him?”
Looking her in the eyes, I snapped my gum in obvious irritation, “No, I have not spoken with him. Yes, I have seen him.”
“And?”
“And what?” I asked in exasperation, leaning forward. “What exactly is it that you want to know?”
Victoria swung her legs to the other side, readjusting her weight, and crossed her arms over her ample chest. “I want to know if you think he’s cute or if he’s fair game for me.”
I rolled my eyes and leaned back, “Since when do you ask me if you can go for a guy. You usually just go and don’t tell me until after you’re done with them.”
She shrugged lightly and looked up, “Well it’s been a long while till we had a transfer student. I thought I’d ask. You know how much I love you, and you haven’t had a boy in so long.” She looked at me and there was a devious glint in her eyes, the amber seeming to liquefy.
I exhaled softly and picked my book back up, “Sorry to disappoint, but the whole “emo” look is a turn-off for me. Go. Flirt to your heart’s content.”
Victoria made a triumphant sound and hopped off my desk and started to walk out of my class, “Oh, flirting won’t be the only thing I’ll be doing.”
