Brief Author Bio: The most important thing about my life is that Jesus Christ has saved me from the path that I was on. I was a rebel, and a sinner as I'd broken many of God's laws. But Jesus Christ was my substitution, and in the "courtroom" on Judgment Day, the Father will see His blood covering my sins, and His righteousness accredited to my account. I have been forgiven by a perfect, sinless, merciful, glorious, most holy Savior who came to the world 2000 years ago, fully God and fully man, absolutely blameless with unrivaled righteousness. Though He created the world and all in it, the world did not accept Him, but instead killed Him. But the Lord is victorious, and used that seemingly evil deed for good, as He had planned it, for Christ died in the place of every sinner that would repent of (turn away from) their sins, and trust in His grace and mercy. His body was laid behind a tomb guarded by two Roman soldiers, but on the third day the stone was rolled away and Christ rose from the dead, defeating death and sin once and for all. Because of His sacrifice, sinners can escape the hell fire that they have caused themselves to deserve because of their wicked deeds. And because Christ's goodness is accredited to their account, they will live eternally in Heaven with Christ Himself after they pass away from Earth. I cannot imagine a kinder thing that someone could have done for me. I do not deserve the grace that Jesus Christ bestowed on me. Soli Deo Gloria! Synopsis: Healing - Bekkah, Daughter of Eve
It's been three years since the tragic death of Abel and the disappearance of Cain. The family is daily struggling with this startling actualization of what sin can truly cause in the world, and the unspoken realization of what such sin could do to the world to come. Will faith in the Promised Seed return to the first family to ever live?
Excerpt: Healing - Bekkah, Daughter of Eve
“No – I am sure it would be for the best. Oh, do cheer up Jeremiah! I am very pleased with my work in the fields, and in the homestead.”
Jeremiah studied her for a moment. “You have grown up, sister.”
Bekkah thought for a moment before suddenly turning to shove her brother. “No I haven't!” She shrieked before taking off running in the direction of the tent.
“Hey!” Jeremiah shouted, laughing, and chasing her.
They both continued to run before stumbling into the tent, shrieking with laughter.
“Shh!” Cara hushed them, as she always had.
“No, I like to hear their laughs. It cheers my soul.” Mother said quietly from the corner.
“Mother!” Bekkah exclaimed softly, hurrying to kneel beside Eve. “You are awake.”
“Do you want this wheat in the cooking room?” Jeremiah asked Cara, who disappeared when she approved.
Eve smiled faintly at Bekkah. “Yes, love.”
“How are you feeling, Mother?”
“Tired.” Her mother replied, holding her smile. “Why do you frown so?”
“I am afraid for you, Mother.”
“The Creator has me in His care. Besides, this illness is nothing compared to what should be.”
“Do not say such things, Mother.” Bekkah repremanded her softly.
Eve sighed. Her smile had fainted, and her eyes became very distant as she stared through Bekkah.
“You are upsetting her.” Cara said, tying on her apron.
“No, no.” Eve returned in mind to the present scene. “I was just thinking.”
“Exactly.” Cara muttered before disappearing out of the tent flap.
Bekkah looked sadly at her Mother. “Every thing will be fine, I am sure of it.”
Eve looked at her daughter, before reaching out to touch her cheek. “So mature, so confident. You have grown.”
“Every one keeps saying that. Now, you need your rest.” Bekkah said definitely, before attempting to lay her Mother down.
“No, no. I have been sleeping all day.” Eve protested. “You just go help with the meal.”
“Yes Mother.” Bekkah submitted, standing to find her apron.
“Bekkah?” Eve suddenly called out, with an edge in her voice.
Bekkah turned to find her Mother doubled over.
“Mother!” Bekkah shrieked, running to her side.
Her Mother began to heave, clutching her stomach.
Cara suddenly appeared in the doorway, examing the scene for a moment before disappearing once more.
Soon, Jeremiah appeared with a basket which Bekkah placed beneath her mother's face. The little food that Eve had been able to swallow was dumped into the basket, much to their horror. Cara soon appeared with a jar of water, waving Jeremiah out of the tent. Jeremiah backed out, swallowing hard.
“Mother, Mother, calm down.” Cara tried to steady the frail body which shook frightfully. After a few, frantic moments, the seizure passed. Eve laid down, all energy squeezed for m her tiny body. By that time, Adam came rushing into the room.
“What is it?” Adam nearly shouted out of panic.
“Mother is dying.” Cara answered, her eyes resting on the ashen face that laid silently on floor mat.
