Brief Author Bio:

I do Nano every other year, beginning 2004. I've self-published one novel. I am a screenwriter and producer. I love to write. I love LA, but I wouldn't mind living in the following cities: New York, Seattle, Boston, Dublin, Paris.

Synopsis: Wayland

A man and boy wander a landscape once known as the United States, but which has been strangely stripped of almost all human life after The Event, in which a viral meme is unleashed to devastating effect.

Excerpt: Wayland

I start down the path, but I hear the door shut, and look back. Charlie stands outside watching the door close. He turns to me and hobbles forward toward me.

We exchange a wordless conversation in which he explains to me all his top fears and panic is something to be mastered through the submersion of one's self into the act that causes anxiety. I see in him a soul struggling to extricate himself from the slithering of incomprehension, to embrace the eroticism of experience, the sublimity and sensuality of consequence and activity. His eyes tell me to stay is to die within the mold. To come with me is to take the long view, that the human soul is not meant for staying, only for going, and sometimes for dying.

I bless him within the auto valves of my heart and caress his dirty head with a hand and then we face forward, into the disco night.
