Synopsis: They sang a song of love and honour
Can I write about a pack of medieval minstrels?
That would be cool... Maybe they'd just be travelling around, having fun, and then somehow get mixed up in some major event. Something important. I don't really know what... But they could witness something important? Have to deliver a message
Blah, boring.
But it's a good setting for side-stories as in love affairs and friendships, inside the pack and between people in towns
I think that would be cool...
So, a pack of minstrels. What could happen to them?
They follow someone important? To make songs of him?
Could be interesting, the classic hero-story from a different point of view... Hmm...
Yes, that will be it! Great!
I HAVE A PLOT!
Well, not really, but it's something.
And I've got another month...
Sub-plots Romance | "Leadership" of the group | Money gets scarce/stolen | Robbery | "Rivaling" minstrels | Group gets accused of something (stealing?) | One is an outlaw
So, this group of minstrels decides to follow a knight and his entourage to the tournament, so they can travel safely in a group. The knight is new to the tournaments, and wants the minstrels to sing about him. The knight and the minstrels don't really like eachother (knight feels better) but they can use eachother.
Somehow they get involved in something. They overhear the knight. There is a plot, for something, like throwing the king of his throne.
No, really, that's stupid...
Two sisters, vocals (Hodine and Gisele)
A friend of their father's,flute (Henric)
An outlaw (no-one knows), percussion (Pelegrim)
A ruined merchant, hurdy gurdy or lute (Reynier)
So, the story starts. The four minstrels (merchant not with them yet)come into a town that holds a fair.
They perform, meet up with the merchant, blablabla. Merchant's house burns down. He joins them, they set out to a tournament taking place somewhere.
Lalala, travel travel travel... They meet up with a young knight...
They arrive at the tournament site. There are already other minstrels. They set up a crude tent somewhere, and walk around the place.
They meet up with other minstrels, good ones, bad ones, in service of lords or free like themselves. They perform. They try to get money and food and such normal things.
And they have to do something there, because they bribed someone to let them out of prison, and they 'paid' with doing something. Something that will get the story along. Just what is it...
