Excerpt: What a wonderful road unto death and rebirth

Seeing the utmost anger in his eyes. The light reflecting straight of the black filling in his eyes showing me just how deep this hatred ran. It commanded every ounce of self-control I had not to turn and run. To just give in to all those years of survival instinct coming together making me want to run. Having been alive in this ever changing world for so long. So god damn long! Finally, at last to all suffering and sacrifice there would come an end. At last I would be freed from it all. Feeling time coalesce around me drawing ever closer to me, pulling at me. Pulling me under. The air sizzling around his hands electrifying even the wisps of wind around him in his anger. Blinking away the water gathering in my eyes I could not but regret never seeing him again. Like he had always been. Smiling away at everything a never ending sarcasm lighting his eyes from within. Those beautiful red eyes that were now lost to the shadow. Gone almost completely black with its power. Making a final stand I spread my arms wide and waited to die.
