Beep. Beep. Beep. Beepbeepbeep. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. Was that a fucking air raid siren or was the building on fire or were those little gremlins trying to play reggae with her skull? God, her head was pounding. The girl rolled over and smacked her alarm clock silent, wishing she could slap it silly. But she'd probably break her hand first, unless she simply threw it into a wall, and unplugging it to do so would probably take too much effort, damn it all. She groaned and rubbed at her eyes as she sat up slowly. How late had she gone to sleep last night? No, the light still being on told her that she hadn't gone to sleep, she'd dozed off. The girl cursed under her breath and hoped the family had not noticed the waste of electricity. Or that they'd simply assumed she'd been up all night. It certainly felt like it.
