Finally, he spoke: “You know why the sky turns pink just before dark?”

“Mmm. Tell me,” she said, leaning her head against his chest.

“She blushes when the sun kisses her goodnight. And that breeze? That’s her beauty, taking the world’s breath away.”

“Wow, Logan,” Angie said. “How do you come up with these things?”

“That’s what you do to me,” he told her. Logan turned and looked at Angie. Her emerald green eyes, her mother’s eyes, sparkled up at him. Will our kids have those gorgeous eyes? He wondered. “I love you, Angel.”
