Synopsis: Alpha

Charlotte Duvall is such a nobody at North Garland High School that she might as well be invisible. No one notices her until one night when she's attacked by a werewolf. The pack that attacked her takes her under their wing, but they aren't what they seem. When Charlotte's wolf form is revealed at the next full moon, no one is prepared for what Charlotte has become. As she gets used to this new part of her life, she just might find the strength to become what no one expected she could - the Alpha.

Excerpt: Alpha

Rosalyn was filled with pride. Her pack was her own, something she controlled. The power in that alone was intoxicating. Add the power of being a wolf and it was almost overpowering. The nights like tonight were what she lived for. Her body tingled, her bones and skin, tendon and muscle begging for the release, begging to be allowed to take the shape they loved the most, the shape they longed to be. She didn’t need a watch to know when the moon would rise. No, she could feel the countdown in every cell of her body from the tips of her toes to the top of her head.

“Hunt! Hunt! Hunt!”

“Tonight is the last night of the full moon.” Her voice rang clearly over the chanting of the pack. “It will be twenty-seven days until the next time we can run free. Twenty-seven days locked up in the cages of these bodies.”

The pack shouted, voicing their displeasure.

“Run. Hunt. Make it a night to remember. This is who you really are.”
