Synopsis:

In an imagined future, one where the moon and Mars have been terraformed and settled by human civilization, civility and kindness are all but dead. Cruelty, violence, and crime are rampant and intense, and little is done to stop any of it. In the heart of a time when human compassion for a stranger seems to be all but dead, a rogue organization has formed, swearing to protect and aid those hurt or in need of help. In a corrupt world, this group is one of the few remaining shards of light in an immense dark.

Excerpt:

“You know, Velek.” He stopped and caught his reflection in the mirror. Lopsided hair. He fixed it. “I haven't spoken to her in twelve years. After everything. She never tried to write, never even tried to apologize. There was just nothing. And now there will be nothing forever.”

Velek considered this. The concept was vile, but truthful. It seemed, to him, to sum up a man's life in such simple wording. Every pain, every misery, every failure and shortcoming. Every lonely hour. There was nothing and now there will be nothing forever.
