Synopsis: Some Random Roleplay
With the arrival of the new millennium, the people of VILLAGE are hoping for the continuation of peace and prosperity. But as standard everyday magic begins to go awry and imperial soldiers begin to interfere and conquer, it falls to one lad, HERO, to follow his destiny and save the land...
Or it would if he hadn't alienated his first party member within minutes of the game. Now Taela travels the land with her own party, trying to make things right as the Empire continues its subjugation, magic continues to deteriorate, and HERO just muddles through the middle, making things worse.
Excerpt: Some Random Roleplay
The block outlines of the trees were broken in the center of the clearing, allowing for a shot of pure light to bounce off HERO's hand-me-down, rusted armor. Not that it made a difference. He began to glow anyway. Taela shaded her eyes.
"GO HOME TAELA!" He started, then paused. "IT IS MUCH... TOO DANGEROUS... FOR YOU TO COME... WITH ME!"
"BUT HERO!... LET ME HELP YOU!... I'LL BE SAFE... AS LONG AS... I'M WITH YOU!" Taela shook her head at her own words.
"WE'RE FIGHTING... IMPERIAL SOLDIERS!... I WON'T LET YOU... GET HURT!... NOW GO HOME!"
"BUT I HAVE MAGIC!" She forced herself back from him. "Why are we talking like that Hero?"
"GO HOME!" He repeated.
"Hero. Just talk to me. You know I'm one of the best swordswomen in the Village, why don't you want me coming?"
"GO HOME!" He sounded stuck.
"Right.... You know, maybe this is too much for you. I'll do it myself." She walked past a frozen Hero and onto the path North.
A few moments later, HERO stated, "WELL, MAYBE I... TAELA?"
