Excerpt:

Waking up, she realized that the motion she was feeling was normal for where she came to remember she was.  Quietly she rolled over and let her mind wonder up and down her body to assess what pain or numbness she might be neglecting to feel just yet.  So far so good, a little stiff but not too bad.  Only a vague recollection of the previous nights activities.  A thin blade of sunlight sliced through the room through the part in the heavy velvet curtains at he heavy leaded windows.  The smell of the ocean filled her mind with memories that faded as quickly as they came.  gently she rose, stretched her long arms up to the ceiling of the rosewood cabin, heavily ornate with masterfully hand carved decorations.  the fur slippers warmed her icy toes and she sighed as the tingle of it awoke her legs.  The bag lay on the hardwood table across the room.  She could not face it right now, perhaps later she thought after having some food, if she was able to keep any down, the pitching motion  sending her tipping back over onto the bed.  Maybe a few more minutes of sleep, she considered, but no the blinding ray of sun struck her momentarily, making her shudder and sit up abruptly.  that's it, she thought determinedly, I've got to face this.  With a deep calculated breath she stode over to the window and laid bare the glass speared with Sunlight.  In preparation she had closed her eyes tightly but it didn't help.  having to turn her head to the side to avoid the intensity of the sunrise.

The room was small but ornate, the table and two chairs occupying one corner beside which stood a dresser with washbasin.  Next to the door was the curtain which conceiled the bed built safely nestled into the wall.
