Brief Author Bio: I've been writing since I could hold a pencil. The first words I wrote were "I love you". I've been writing short stories and novels ever since. The only times I can actually finish a novel is with the help of NaNo, which is very nice. I love music, more than almost anything and love discovering new bands and albums. I play guitar and write my own lyrics, and hope to one day be in a band or produce music of my own. I also love biking, acting, swimming and art. |

Synopsis: The Forbidden
Ara lives in Soranta, a world where your true love and future spouse is decided for you by the day you are born. On Ara's 17th birthday, as is custom, she sets out to find her future husband, her beloved Zane. Along the way, she runs into Ethan, a fellow 17-year-old searching for his love. They decide to set out together and start their journey towards the city of their spouses.
But something happens. Something strange and unknown to both teens. An unfamiliar, mutual feeling of - could it be? - love. They know that love is forbidden between anyone but married couples. Their unlawful journey of emotion branches into territory unknown and causes them to question all that they know.
As the two become more and more attached, secrets bubble below the surface of their attraction. Their slight brush with the law draws them deeper and deeper into the world of illegality. Emotions rub the young couple raw and ragged, and their own secrets tear them apart.
But The Council has eyes everywhere. The Council has been watching Ethan ever since he was seven years old. The Council does not like their inhabitants to disobey the rules that they have firmly implied. The Council must get rid of all who disrupt the peace.
The Council knows what has happened between Ethan and Ara, and they are not happy about it.
