Excerpt: Dragovar Dreams

Katyana Dragovar stood on the back deck of the house that she shared with LegendKiller Hellershanks, her on and off again boyfriend. She looked out across the land before her on the second story of their home. Mindlessly she rubbed her pregnant belly as her mind drifted off to Legend as she called him and where he might have gotten off to this time. She was due to have his children soon. Her twins were as restless as she was in this current state. They were waiting to be born and she was missing their father. The doctors told Katyana that she would be having twins; she was so happy that she was especially when she told Legend he beamed with pride. They even found out that she was carrying a boy and a girl. As the pregnancy wore on Legend because distant and then he pulled his usual act of disappearing. Kat as most called her grew accustomed to his acts of disappearance since he had done it so many times before. This time was no different even though she had hoped that the twins Talyn and Tiana would bring them closer together. No matter what he put her through, she loved him with everything she had.
Kat had heard of Legend through her sister Alexashandra. Alexashandra had once been very close to Legend after they met at a cathedral of dragons. She recommend him to her sister in a hope that Kat would find what she was looking for and Legend could find a love he was looking for, when the two hit it off Lexi as Kat called her dropped out of the picture around the couple so that they could find out if they were good for each other. Kat ran her hand through her long curly red and black tipped hair as she sat down in the lounge chair on the deck. She picked up her laptop and began to write her memories with Legend. The writing would keep her company until she knew if he would return to her or not. It would also be the way she could pass on the memories to their children when they were grown up.
It was a hot steamy night when he came into my skybox apartment she wrote. He walked into the room and I was completely blown away with his bad boy look. The long down the back black hair made my pulse race, she continued to write. His grey eyes piercing through me it for me was electric. We sat for a moment talking; it was light hearted conversation getting to know one another. He was quite charming back then and well spoken. I went over to the fire place and was beginning to make a fire when he sat there close to me, his hand touched mine. We looked at each other. The fire started to blaze and I moved away from him and it. I walked over to the blinds and stared out them for a moment. Legend came over to me and asked, “Angel what are you thinking about?” I turned and looked up into those eyes. My shyness over took me at the moment and all I could say was “You”. He smiled a large grin with his pearly white teeth showing. All I could think was I needed to get myself under control but it was not working. I don’t know what came over the both of us next because all I remember was being in his arms for very passionate long kiss. It was after that kiss he held me for a little longer and several more kisses when we both decided that he should go. Legend gave me one more long deep passionate kiss and promised to return the next night so that we could talk some more. I couldn’t sleep much that first night because I was still charged up by him and his touch.
Kat looked at what she had written and wondered if there was a way she could remind her Legend of that first night when they touched and the chemistry was so electric. She opened the picture album on her computer that had pictures of them together. She found the picture of hers and Legend’s first kiss. How he cupped her face in his hands, she let her arms wrap around his lean waist. She didn’t realize till that moment he was bare-chested.
