Prelude
Though it was by no means an original segment of philosophy, it still amazed me that there were only two times in our life we were ever truly alone: at birth and at death. Which were, arguably, the most significant events a human—or, come to think of it, any living organism—could endure. That was basically saying that as humans, in our most important epochs—risen empire (birth) and great fall (death)—were alone.
Which goes to teach one a lesson about dependency.
Throughout our lives, we garner friends and hopefully pin pieces of ourselves in their memories, which is ultimately what makes the human life—the biggest unexplained phenomenon out loose—timeless, even as our physical presence passes on.
Life… it’s not quite about figuring out all of its enigmas. After all, when we think we know all the answers, life comes and changes all of the questions.
