Excerpt:

She stuck her key in the lock, but discovered the door already unlocked. That was odd; she’d thought sure she’d locked it. She slid into the driver’s seat, closed the door and stuck her key into the ignition.
And something slammed across her mouth, pinning her back to the seat. She struggled but whoever was behind her was strong. All she could see was the edges of perfectly manicured fingertips across her mouth. Another arm was wrapped across her chest. Her heart started to pound.
“Hello, Amy.” A female voice cooed in her ear.
Terror rose into her throat. Whoever this person was, she knew her name. One thought flashed through her head. Was this it? Was she going to die?
“Relax, baby.” The voice was lilting, like a creepy lullaby.
She felt something sharp graze her neck. Oh, God, oh God, oh God. This crazy woman was going to kill her. Why?
“I won’t hurt you, baby. No, I’m going to help you. I’m going to make you strong, and beautiful, just like me.”
Amy tried to shake her off, but the woman held fast. She might as well have been held back with iron bars.
“Now, now. Be a good little girl and do as I say. Turn the key and start the car. We’re going to take a little drive.”
Her hand shaking, she touched the key. Then her back door flew open, letting in a gust of frigid air. And the hands were ripped away. She heard a scream and swung around. Someone threw her attacker across the parking lot like a rag doll. Then he stuck his head into her car and she recognized the bearded face. Her eyes grew wide.
“Mr. Bane? How-“
“Amy. Drive.”
“But-“
“Now! Get out of here!”
He slammed the car door and disappeared into the darkness. Amy swung back and obeyed, twisting the key in the ignition. She slammed her foot onto the gas and her car took off like a rocket. A few blocks away, she stopped the car and yanked her cell phone from her purse. With trembling fingers, she dialed 911. For some weird reason, her History teacher had just saved her life. And he was still back there.
