Synopsis:

Ten-year old Grayson Hudgens' parents divorced, leaving him and his younger sister Molly in the sole care of their mother. When their mother falls for an Englishman, she takes the kids and moves across the ocean to be with him.

Adjusting to a new life is always difficult. The old manor house where they move seems to exist in a world that follows different rules. The housekeeper warns them not to set foot into any rings of toadstools, but Molly, who hates England and hates that they aren't with their father anymore, disobeys the warning and crosses inside a ring.

The first sign Grayson has that something is seriously wrong comes when the housekeeper's cat jumps onto his chest, extends its claws and says, "Are you going to sleep all day, or are you going to help me rescue your sister?"

So Grayson learns that Molly has been carried off to become queen of the goblins. With the helps of Mr. Nobbins, the cat, he sets off on a dangerous, magical journey to find Molly and bring her back home.

The question is, what will he do if she doesn't want to be saved?
