were rolling along on their way to the opera house.
The opera was a grand old structure of native stone and masonry. It rose at least a the hundred feet into the air. Sitting there in the failing light it struck the sky line a blow and asserted its’ place in the night. Wide tall and powerful the building dominated the street it sat on. The staircase leading up to the series of wide double doors was all marble with white marble pillars racing down the face holding the eave up and all the impressive weight of the building facing.
