Favorite novels: mostly children's novels -- The Giver, Chronicles of Narnia, A Wrinkle in Time, Island of the Blue Dolphins; but also some for adults -- Midnight's Children, Atonement, Terms of Endearment, etc.

Favorite writers: that's a hard question. I used to read Stephen King's novels, until I became a wuss and couldn't handle them, but I like the way he writes about writing. I also think of C.S. Lewis as my personal grandfather.
