I guess I can’t really say that my story is worse or more of a tragedy then others, but mine isn’t really a picnic either. Sometimes I do wish that I didn’t have this power. Sometimes I wish that I could just wake up and have it all just be a bad dream. But things like that never happen, do they? Well really, it started out as a bad dream. I’m not really sure where to start. How does one begin a story like this? I guess I could start it like every other one. It’s really the only way to tell a story like this. Once upon a time, there was a girl. I can’t remember her name. And I’m not really sure what she was like. She was tall, with long black hair. One night she was out. I don’t know where she was going or why she was out. I’m not even really sure what day it was. But she was out. Minding her own business, I’m sure. But she was out none the less and she ended up in an alley. Cliché, I know, but there she was. I’m sure she was there to take a shortcut or something like that. While else would a young woman walk into a dark alley alone? But there she was, wondering around, for who knows what reason. There were dark figures leaned up against the wall. She looked at her feet and walked faster. Then the figures pulled away form the wall. She was a strong woman and wouldn’t let herself become afraid. They stopped her. She would have kept walking but they just stood there. In her way. She didn’t scream. At least, I don’t think she did. One of them must have had a knife, but it was hard to tell in the dark. She couldn’t see it, but when she refused to hand over her purse, she felt it. The blade pierced her side. Then her back. There must have been more than one knife, because she felt it again in her stomach. Multiple stabs all over her body. The sharp pain tuned to burning as they continued. She started to lose count. Then the burning stopped as her legs went numb followed by the rest of her body. She fell to the ground.
