The ringing of the pay phone from the kitchen broke his concentration. He was working in his playroom on a variant of Camelot, a Chain maille piece he wanted to have ready for the Renaissance fair in February. Glaring in the direction of the closed door, he put down the pliers and went to answer the phone.

“Pay phones. Why didn’t they put answering machines on those?” He said as he stomped into the kitchen.
