an excerpt
Sonja’s friends and writing buddies were chewing their nails down. Could she make it, would she make it! How could she worry them like this?
Unbeknownst to her, she was working steadily, not worried. Never a concern that she wouldn’t finish.
Then, sitting in the quiet back room of Frontier, her concentration on the best novel ever written was interrupted by the sound of laughter. Her attention finally riveted from her laptop, she noticed a huge birthday party was beginning on the other side of the room. At another table a gaggle of multiple families with children were gathered, possibly coming from or to the hanging of the greens at the UNM campus.
“Holy Cow,” she thought to herself, “I could use this scene in my book!”
She went back to her mad dash of typing and was suddenly transported back into her novel. The sounds of laughter, singing, and children far behind her, as well as 50,000 words!
