Red and blue lights whirred behind her head, and the siren from the cop car screamed loudly through the night. Two of them, dressed in blue uniforms and carrying megaphones exited the car and began to approach the group. Benny’s eyes widened as he saw them approach, shouting, “Holy shit, it’s the pigs! Hey, see ya round. Here’s my number,” he said, handing her a hastily scribbled post-it note, “Call me whenever.” He whistled sharply, and the rest of his posse gathered their assorted items, most of which were probably stolen. With another whistle, the four of them split up, each one going a different direction. Each cop went a different direction, the car idling on the side of the road. As soon as Amy turned around, heading back towards her future apartment complex, some people began to assault the cop car with bricks and baseball bats. This was going to be a long night.
