Brief Author Bio: 2009 will be my third year doing Nano. Though I knew that my muse could be as finicky as any, I never thought that it would hit me so hard with a plot idea completely different than what I expected at a sudden moment, only a few weeks prior to November. Looks like I'll be doing fantasy again this year... Oh, well. I'm just another poor college student living far from home. I'll be lucky enough this year to not have a roommate around while I'm in the throes of a manic, depressive, or angered writing mood; I'll be able to talk to myself and the like without someone thinking I'm completely off my rocker this year. |

Synopsis: Defining Love Without Apology
A man gets a notice that a sex offender has moved into his neighborhood. Worried for the safety of his children, he goes over to the person's house to investigate and finds that Taylor Ellis isn't exactly what he was expecting. Young, cheerful, and definitely female, Taylor hides a dark past and has been forced to let go of many of her dreams because of a label that doesn't accurately depict the crime committed.

I'm afraid that I had been selfish for almost all of that year. When I finally did meet Zack, I was more fucked up than I remember being. Only in looking back can I actually see that there was a lot of shit going down in my head. It's almost amazing that I managed to hold on to so much; Dan had more than enough reason to leave me; while I helped pay our rent, Alyssa and Hillary could have probably found a better roommate. From about October to May, I was a total bitch.
