Tick Tick Boom
an excerpt

Would they fall for infinity? Yes, probably, but how long would it take them to die? Faern contemplated this morbid thought, while Scar perched on one of said floating islands in the middle of nowhere and cleaned her paws with a long, pink tongue. It was entirely possible that one would freeze to death from wind chill before one died of thirst, but maybe the air was just limited to near the landmasses, and would not be around the further you fell? Or maybe it was a vacuum, resulting in the body of said poor falling sod exploding into little pieces. Or the pressure could increase, resulting in implosion into a blob, which would then be crushed and crushed until it was, erm, very crushed. Maybe that was how bloodstones were made? Hah, entirely plausible! Or, or! There could be something down there, like… a rock, and when you fall, you fall for hours, then SPLAT! You die, and all the local wildlife down there looks at your splash marks and blood and gore, then looks up and says, “What the fuck?”. That might be where the rest of Draenor – the name Outland had before it kind of exploded into floating islands ‘n stuff – went, and everything was normal. Or… there was nothing and you fell forever. Another plausible (although these ideas were getting more unlikely by the moment) explanation could be that there were giant wind roc things – except they would be all Outlandy and probably have tentacles growing from their backs – flew around for all eternity and ate the poor bastards as they fell past (although catching anything falling at that velocity probably hurts). Meh, she would have to find out, throw a tracker off the edge and check the signal. Then again, it would probably go out of range before anything interesting happened.
