Moving and making new friends is hard, let alone meeting the guy of your dreams. Fiona has to deal with all that and an overprotective father.
Fiona was tired of it all. High school was for the popular ones, she had decided. Being the kind of person that she was, she didn’t fit in so well, and the move to a new school only made it worse for her.
“Why in the world did dad decide to move anyways? Snow country or not, this place is nothing like home. I wish I could have stayed back in Reno with Ella. I hate it here. I… I… agh!” muttered Fiona under her breath. She just hoped that her father couldn’t hear what she was saying, or she knew that she would be stuck with another of his lectures about how this was a great move for them both, and how she should “make the best of it.” None of that really mattered to Fiona anyway.
