As I felt the blood drain from my arm I could feel my loose hold on consciousness slipping. This couldn't have been happening to me. My life was simply ordinary. At least until that night, the night everything changed. Before giving into the inviting darkness I remembered hearing sounds of a scuffle. Then nothing. I was told later that I woke up several times during those following days, but I can't remember anything through that fevered haze. That's probably for the best, what memories I have of the night I was turned are enough to haunt me through the rest of my immortal existence. That's right, immortal. That warm autumn night would be my last as a human. That was the night I became a vampire.
