At the end of the hall was the door to the old tack room. I approached it slowly, since I had always been a bit afraid of going back there alone. A voice in the back of my mind told me it was the perfect place to hide a body. I had probably read too many mystery novels. There were no corpses in my best friend’s stable. I opened the door and stepped inside.
