Brief Author Bio: I have been reading ever since I taught myself to read using a map of the London Underground, and writing since I decided to make up stories about my day in kindergarten. I intend to try to turn this into some sort of career; failing that, I will just follow in my great-grandfather's footsteps and become a train hobo. It is my fondest wish. |

Synopsis: A Pretty Little Place
The year is 1971. At a Bruce Springsteen show in Asbury Park, hippie Rosie, a teenage girl struggling to break free of her parents' conservatism, meets rocker Rafael, a boy trying to get his band into the big time. Thus begins a story of first love and rock 'n' roll, of race and who it matters to, of money and the lack of it, and of when throwing rocks at windows is inappropriate (always).
