"Everything seems stupid to her, and that drives me insane.”
“Do you think that you drive her insane?”
“How so? The way I seem to indifferent to everything?”
“Yeah.”
“Maybe. It’s probably why we aren’t as close anymore. We both changed. It happens.”
“Yes, it does.”
“I think most of it has to do with me though. I think that I have this thing wrong with me when it comes to people.”
“What do you mean?”
“I think when friends drift away it’s my fault.”
“Why?”
“Because I get sick of people. I get so tired of hanging out with the same person day after day. So when I make a new friend, I almost don’t want to hang out with all the time, because I know that too much of them right off the bat will make me not want to be around them anymore. IT has happened a million times before.”
“Why do you think you get sick of people.”
“I don’t know. I just like the change I guess. Walking back and fourth across town with the same person every single day talking about the same people, the same show, the same music is tiring. I just need a change. And maybe when I move I will get the change that I have been searching for and not get sick of people. Maybe it’s not the people, but what I do with the people. Therefore, when I move, I may not get tired of people so fast, because there will be different ways for us to hang out. Go to a movie, watch a concert, play some Guitar Hero, shop, eat, you name it, we could do it. I hope that it’s not the people I get sick of, that it’s the things we do. Then at least I could blame my tiny town for lost friends, and not myself.”
