Brief Author Bio:

Born in Hollywood, grew up in Burbank, Van Nuys, No. Hollywood, & Studio City. Graduate of Hollywood High School; B.A. in Sociology from UC Sta. Barbara. Worked a couple years at USC in Marine Paleontology lab, recording plankton samples and preparing foram samples (washing mud and drying the forams). Much later, at UCSB, was a learning skills counselor, tutoring writing and study skills to university students. Lived in Isla Vista during the riots in the late 1960s/early '70s before moving to Santa Barbara. Moved to Kirkland, WA in1979. Music teacher and writer since then. Have had 4 children's picture books in print and 5 short stories published in anthologies. Prefer writing fantasy for kids. My household = Wini, my good friend; Pacho the Dog; Maya the Cat; lots of Dust. Outside, many roses, some still blooming even though it's November.
