I was happy with my life. It was plain and simple. I had a routine and stuck to it, But no. Every time something seems perfect, something simply has to go and ruin it. Except in this case, it wasn’t just ruining it for me, but ruining it for our whole city. A bloody great METEORITE had to go and ruin it. Now life will never ever be the same again, it’ll never return to how it used to be. I guess we’ll just have to adapt, and adapt a lot. It’s not every day a enormous lump of molten rock crashes directly into the centre of the city. It’s not even every year. According to the Guinness World Records, this has happen on this scale a total zero times before. Whoopee. Our city’s made the world records. To be honest, I don’t really care. At all. I do care about my life, my family and my friends, who have all thankfully survived. Well, maybe not quite my life. It’s not in one piece yet. I need to but it back together, just like this city. Exactly like this city. Except maybe not quite as big. And it doesn’t literally have a crater in. Mentally, perhaps, but not physically. I’m rambling now of course, but the essence is true. If I could reverse time right now, I totally would, but of course I can’t. No-one can, no matter how much they’d like to, and I reckon most people her probably do pretty hard.
