Synopsis: The Queen's Own
Kayla dropped into Solwein unexpectedly years ago, and promptly squashed an attempt to usurp the throne from (then) princess Alveinei. Since then she has been the princess's, now queen's, special guard. Now she is responsible for keeping the peasantry happy by dealing with bandits and other unsavory types. This keeps her away from the capitol, where more plots are forming.
Bo is a young member of the Order of Jade and a skilled assassin. He is hired by the power behind one of the plots against the Queen to eliminate Kayla. Her ability to evade his attempts on her life surprise and impress Bo to the point where he just my consider going back on his contract.
