He did not even have time to register the voice he heard before a warm body flung herself upon him in a hug. His body responded more readily then his mind and he wrapped his arms around her, returning her embrace. His hands caught hold of her yellow hair flowing in curls behind her back and he could smell the sweet skin of her neck. With his foot still on the first step his mind suddenly caught up and he relized who he was holding. He pulled back to look at her.
"Hello, Nu." He said, unable to think of anything to say beyond that.
"Hello." She replied, releasing him and taking a step back. "I did not know that you were here."
"I just got here."
"Oh."
Griffin couldn't help taking her in with his eyes. In the years he had known her, he had come to love the strange features of her body that others would have been repulsed by. Her face, even more beatiful without a nose. Her tail, which swung casually behind her, adorned with a sky blue ribbon. Her skin, oh, her skin. As dark as the feathers of a blackbird and just as soft and smooth. The slightest touch of it made him dizzy.
"Griffin?" His eyes shot back to hers and he shook himself mentally.
"I was just wondering." He said with mock sincerity. "Did you gain any weight since I last saw you?" He laughed as her smiling face turned to a glare.
