Synopsis: The Lapwing Expedition

Dissatisfied with his coddled, upper class upbringing, Lee Ballard declares that he will go off and make a name for himself, by traveling all over the world in an aquatic airplane. He is accompanied by his closest friend, his batty girlfriend, an old salt, and a reporter desperate for a story. It's 1928, only a year after Lucky Lindy hopped the pond. Everyone thinks Lee is doomed to fail, and his blue-blooded grandmother hopes to ensure it. However, Lee and his ragtag group of explorers is determined to show the world what a little vision can accomplish.
