Excerpt: Before You Go

Even in the bright light of the afternoon, the bar still had a dark and mysterious quality about it. Starting at the front entrance of the bar you saw the gothic inspired chandelier. hanging above. The walls were painted a rich, deep red that made the bar feel small and intimate. The booths were covered in black leather and they lined the perimeter of the bar. There was a small dance floor at the back and the remaining space was dotted with tables.
