Synopsis: The Sound of Silence

One second. That's all it took. One second, Marie's life was normal. The next, it was anything but.
Marie was a typical teenager. A typical teenager until that fateful day when her life turned most untypical. One day, after school, she is suddenly bombarded with voices, all clambering in her head. After a few days which she spends freaking out, it hit her that these voices are exactly voices at all.

You see, Marie can hear thoughts.

At the end of her rope, she confides in her best friend, looking for comfort and support. This 'best friend' promptly turns around and tells the entire school. Now, on top of hearing everyone's thoughts, Marie must put up with the stares and points, the laughter and the fear.
For people fear that which they do no understand.
And no one understands Marie.

With only a few true friends to be there for her, Marie struggles with the disabling ability. She concentrates on trying to block every thought from her mind. Then, one day while walking through the school, she hears the thoughts of someone planning an attack on the school.

But who can she tell? The principle thinks she is crazy-- as do the police. But Marie won't just give up. On her shoulders lie the fate of hundreds of teenagers.
