Synopsis: The King of Hearts

"I used to believe in fairytales. A long time ago."
"What made you change your mind?"
"Reality. It's never more cruel than when it rips your dreams away just when you were beginning to think you might be able to keep them."

On the outside, the King of Hearts is exactly what everyone expects him to be. He knows the right words for any situation, is the perfect example of an obedient son, and will no doubt be spoken of years after he is gone for being known as a great king. But despite all the perfection on the surface, the King of Hearts is nothing but a broken toy beneath a thin veil of a smile. And even though he tries to put the past behind him, picking up the pieces proves to be much harder than he expected. Over the past 2 years, he's slowly rebuilt his house of cards. But cards are paper thin, a poor excuse for building materials.

It doesn't take much to send that house of cards tumbling down again.
