Machina - Machinations of Evil (sequel to Machina - Android Gone Rogue)
an excerpt

“I assumed you have found out about your Nanobots, no?”
“Yes, what about them?”
“I was experimenting with you John, trying to make you the perfect master but for some reason it didn’t work, and instead I made you the perfect traitor.”
“Traitor, what…”
“You were programmed to kill these people, and I can’t quite figure out why you haven’t done it. I was hoping that with the remainder of human life extinguished we could reign over this world for all eternity together. But it seems you have a very strong will as the Nanobots seem to be obeying you and not their original base code.”
“I would never harm these people; they are all that’s left of my race.”
“Your race? You aren’t even human any more my dear master. You are a Machine, like me. You are, as you call us, a monster; a creation of your own inept ability to create true evil. No, instead you accidentally created me to be the monster you so despise. Well, John, I’m afraid you are the next generation in Machines. With the data I will collect from your synaptic nerve pathways I will be able to create a successful one of your kind which will quickly turn from one to a million. You cannot stop me John, there is nothing that can stop me. I am nor here nor there. If you kill me now my memory banks will simply upload to another body I have designed for myself. My programming and every other aspect of me will be uploaded and you will have gained nothing but the satisfaction of destroying the original body of the greatest accident you ever created only to have it essence transposed into another far superior vessel. So please, kill me master, kill me so I can become stronger.” John did not know what to do, if what she said was right he would only be making her stronger if he killed her, but if she was bluffing he could end this here and now.
