Excerpt: Everybody, Everywhere Dies; The Continuing Chronicles of an Intergalactic Under Taker
“His death has nothing to do with his life. If his death is honored by the Shri'Nor, than that is what you should do.”
Ahn was surprised at Alexander's answer. So much so in fact that he was stirred from his iron gaze at the pyre. He looked at Alexander who was now staring intently at the pyre. “You are right my friend. I shall go to the being and ascertain her wishes.” Ahn walked towards the being. As he did and with each step, his form started to change. He was growing, becoming larger and larger until his size was that of the SetiSurans. Alexander stood there amazed at the sight. He saw Ahn place his hand on the kneeling being, and just as he did, one of the swaying SetiSurans made a quick motion towards the two like a guard may at an intruder. Just as he was about to reach Ahn, Ahn looked over his shoulder and immediately, the charging being stopped instantly still. Alexander had wondered if the creatures knew he and Ahn were there and what their reaction would be; after all, their appearance, at least Ahn's signaled the coming death of their leader, whether they praised him or not. His question was answered beyond doubt at how Ahn put the charging SetiSuran in his place. Ahn's gaze to the creature was enough to send chills down Alexander's spine. Alexander immediately thought to himself, 'Is that what I am to become? Is that me? What was that saying, what was it?' He thought hard about a quote that was coming to his mind at the thought that he could be destined to be as terrifying as Ahn looked. 'Ah yes, from the Bhavagad Gita, I am become death. The destroyer of worlds.' Alexander was somewhat saddened at the prospect.
