the weirdest camp you can go to
an excerpt
The park had a brisk breeze flowing through it. It smelt like how a summer night should be. A warm, cozy breeze from late June. Normally, I love it. I also love the way the white luminous glowing moon shone on the dark forest. The dead trees even looked alright. They didn’t look angry or scary, like they would to most people, as the leaves rustled, and the thin tips of the tops of the trunks and weak branches waved in the wind. Seeing it all there just gives me peace. But for some reason, tonight, there was just a creepy feeling crawling up and down my spine.
It was really late. I don’t want to go home, though. If I did, then I would probably just sit on my rooftop and stare at the moon and trees. That’s really what I love. I slowed down to view the precious trees for a few moments, admiring the beauty. But then, I felt someone’s presence behind me. I cautiously turned around, with my heart pumping quickly for me to move it, but I slowly turned anyways. Wow. No one’s there. I saw nothing…But I swear I felt someone there, only maybe twenty feet behind me, for a few seconds, not only standing there, but staring at me, somehow. I turned back around to the direction I was going, and ran home. Not of fear though, just something in my conscience that was telling me to get away from there, which usually I don’t listen to it.
