Synopsis: Can You Hear The Voices?
Getting our stories down while there's a chance some of it is true. From a Buenos Aires apartment, to middle America, hearing voices. (Psychotic, Internet) What's real? What's worth listening to?
Excerpt: Can You Hear The Voices?
Yeah, she wanted to know what I thought about my Uncle putting his mom in a nursing home. Mom wanted to make a big deal about my uncle’s new wife (they’ve been married twenty years now) giving the home to her son. This was all about my mom not liking the “new” wife, and not about a feeble old women, who can’t see and who hurt herself in a home accident, finally getting the care she needs.
So, yeah, ostensibly it was about getting my advice, but really the phone call was about enlisting my support in denouncing the moving of my grandmother into a nursing, and giving the new wife some kind of advantage.
Yes, folks, that’s my mom. She only listens to the voices in her own head.
