Synopsis: Best Served Cold

Tim Mitchell has spent a lifetime making enemies. A prominent public figure and embezzeler extraordinaire, his last affair ended badly when he acquired a "newer model", cutting his ex- out of their schemes. She decides to avenge herself by exposing him for the scam artist he is, when she accidentally leaves her evidence on a table at a cafe. When she returns to retrieve the file, it is gone.

Bill Richards is a crime novel, crime show junkie. When he discovers the incriminating file, he immediately takes it to the police. Given his history of "crying wolf" the police dismiss him.

Then Tim turns up dead.

Bill attempts to solve the crime on his own when bodies begin piling up around the case. He suddenly has to jump in when the police accuse the wrong person of the murders. Then he discovers that he is in the middle of a second mystery... someone seems to be after him.
